About Cliffe Kennels and Rescue

The Cliffe Kennels offers professional boarding for dogs, cats and small animals within five acres of countryside, providing secure and comfortable accommodation. Pets stay in individual heated sleeping quarters with enclosed runs, or in the indoor “Posh Paws” area, depending on their needs. With 24/7 staffing all year round, daily walks, supervised playtime and attentive, fully trained staff, each animal receives personalised care in a safe environment. Experienced in both rescue and boarding, The Cliffe Kennels welcomes prospective clients to visit and view the facilities to ensure the right fit for their pets.

Height 35cmVery friendly and excitable boy looking for a calm but active home.Bailey came to us in a very sad condition and has had to have all his coat clipped of and given medicated baths.He can be quite vocal.With other dogs he does bark initially but calms down and walks nicely beside them.Gentle with food and treats.Can pull on his lead but nothing major.He can guard his toys sometimes so we would prefer no children.Jumps up quite a lot for attention.Could possibly live with a calm dog.A secure garden is essential and someone to work with him on his energy. He will need regular brushing and grooming

Height 31cmThis gorgeous boy was extremely shut down and nervous when he came to usWith lots of love and a ton of patience Billy is coming on brilliantlyHe had never been on a lead but now enjoys walks although is still nervous in new surroundings so any new family will need to take things slowly and have patience with his learning.He isnt keen on having the lead put on but is ok once its on.No real interest in other dogs but has lived with them before.Very gentle with food and treats.No interest in toys.Ideally Billy new home will be adult only with a calm and gentle environment where he can be given the time and patience he really needs to settle in.He likes to come for attention and will sit next to you but it needs to be slow and gentle and he wont be pushed into cuddles. No known commands.Billy is at Cliffe kennels but belongs to another rescue.

This is purely because she needs to gain some confidenceOn the lead she pulls to get to them and wants to play.Full training is needed including lead walking.She does jump up so again this needs work.Loves her food and treats.With toys she will play tug with you and now enjoys playing with toys on her own.Loves to climb on your knee.This young dog needs a confident but calm home where she can learn all the things she needs to.

Our friendly and energetic Daisy is looking for an active and experienced new home.With other dogs she is very keen to play and say hello. Lots of playtime bowing to encourage them to play.On her lead she will spin to get to the other dogs.She does need lead training as pulls. On a short lead with gentle verbal correction she can walk nicely.Knows sit command but doesnt appear to know anything else.Needs an active home with experienced owners able to work with her.We would prefer no children under 16 due to her energy levels.Will come for a fuss.She would be better as an only dog as we feel she would be difficult to work with if distracted by another dog.A secure garden is essential.

Our stunning friendly and fussy girl needs a new home where she can get lots of attention.She doesn't show any reactions to the other dogs she has met even when barked at. She walks nicely beside them on her lead.Can be a little impatient with treats but generally is gentle.Loves attention and a fuss and will jump up but as not very big it isnt a problem.Likes to play with toys with you.Does need some training on her lead as can pull occasionally.A secure garden and someone to give her lots of fuss and attention is essential

Does know sit.Sometimes he can be a bit snatchy and will mouth.Jack does not like being handled and needs someone who will work with this and allow him the time to work to get over this. He will give you a warning if you push him.We would prefer no children and someone with the time and patience to work with him.A secure garden with an active adopter is essential for him.

Super friendly little guy who needs a FBD experienced home.Shows very little interest in other dogs on or off his lead preferring to do his own thing or be with humans.Gentle with food and treats.At the moment he has no interest in toys.Knows basic commands and walks nicely on his lead.He is currently on a weight gain plan as is under weight.Lovely little dog who needs an attentive home with a secure garden and who understands FBD.

Height 25cmGorgeous and super friendly girl who came to us quite unwell with Pyometra who has now had all the surgery and medication she needed and is now fighting fit again with no after effects.With other dogs she likes to say hello but isn't really interested in interaction afterWalks well beside other dogs.She does pull but given her sizes its controllableAdores playing chase with toys.Very treat and food motivated and does become vocal if your not quick enough giving her them.Loves to sit on your lap for a fuss.Knows some basic commands.She could live within any home as long as any resident dog is calm.Ideally her home will have a secure garden and be fairly active to keep up with her energy.

Gorgeous, smiley and happy Shakira needs a new home.With other dogs outside her home Shakira shows little interest but she has had issues living with an other female dog in the past although lived happily with males so we would prefer her to be an only dog.She adores attention and would sit on your lap all day.She knows some commands but does weave sometimes on her lead.Can be snatchy sometimes with treats.Very playful and likes to run around but has good recall.Shakira hates cats so No cats.She has never lived with children so an adult only home would be best.Her ideal home will be adult only and where she can get lots of time and attention, has a large secure garden, NO CATS and where she can be given all the cuddles she wants. She hasn't be used to being walked on her lead very much previously as had plenty of out door space.She is fairly small for a Husky xShakira is at Cliffe through another rescue and is not a cliffe dog.
